Julie Banfill has been our director since September of 2006.
Julie has been married to Russ for 38 years and is the mother of two girls, and Mimi of two boys. She retired from Chrysler after 29 years of service.
Julie attended the very first meeting to form the Heart of Essex Chorus and is both a Founding Member and a Charter member.
Julie is a member of our competing quartet, Mainstreet. She has competed with them for 15 years!
After successfully completing her Director's Audition in September of 2006, Julie was voted in by the membership. It is an excellent partnership. Julie knows just the right mixture of challenge and praise to get the best out of us!
